Kotte Gym Hunt: Honest Reviews & Insider Tips

Hey fitness fam! I recently went on a mission checking out a few gyms around Kotte to find out what they’re really like beneath the marketing. From cramped layouts to sparkling clean floors (and some very questionable washrooms), here is everything you need to know before booking your next session.

1. Fitness Plus Gym – Pita Kotte

  • Location: Heart of Kotte (Surrounded by supermarkets & food outlets)

Situated in a super convenient commercial hub, this spot has plenty of snack and grocery options right outside. However, parking is quite limited.

  • The Vibe & Equipment: The machines are okay, but they don’t feel very smooth, and the overall gym floor is a bit too cluttered with tight spacing between equipment.
  • The Good: Fitzky.com app makes booking a day pass super reasonable, and long-term membership rates are also fair. The crowd and staff are friendly.
  • The Bad: Mediocre washrooms (“ok, but not the best”), limited parking, tight equipment spacing, and no lady trainers available.

2. Ndurance Gym

  • Location: Inside Sanhinda Leisure Center

While the location is easy to find, the surrounding area feels neglected—resembling a company backyard that hasn’t seen maintenance in years. Sanhinda’s parking lot is also chronically full.

  • The Vibe & Equipment: Inside is a completely different story! The gym features good, smooth machines and looks really nice and clean.
  • The Good: Great equipment, clean interior, and reasonable day pass rates via the fitzky.com app.
  • The Bad: The washrooms are super unclean (definitely the biggest dealbreaker here), the exterior surroundings look old and unmaintained, and there are no lady trainers.

3. Fitfinity Fitness

  • Location: Off Kotte-Thalawathugoda Road

Tucked deep down a secondary lane that isn’t in great condition, with limited parking. The gym itself features a nice open-air vibe, though it spans three separate floors—be prepared to lug your gear up and down stairs.

  • The Vibe & Equipment: It features good air conditioning, but with zero natural sunlight coming in, it gives off a bit of a “germ incubator” feeling and can honestly feel a little boring.
  • The Good: Super clean washrooms, a dedicated lady trainer on-site, and decent long-term pricing.
  • The Bad: Extremely unreasonable pricing for 1-day passes, tiresome 3-floor layout, and lack of natural lighting.

Stay tuned—I’ll be writing more reviews on my next fitness adventures soon! Drop a comment or let me know which gym you want me to check out next.
